Prague as a tourist city
Full of things to do, see, and experience – Prague is one of the most beautiful and culturally-rich places in the world. Not only is it culturally rich, Prague is also one of the least expensive places to visit in Europe. Prague takes a lot of time to explore, so plan on visiting for at least 2 weeks if you are expecting to visit anytime soon.
Nightlife is one of Prague’s greatest assets. It’s easy to have a good time when you are in Prague. It’s frequently rated as one of the top party destinations in the world. The alcohol is cheap, so there is plenty of fun that can be had for a little bit of money. Because it is a party destination, you’re certain to run in to a lot of good looking people in the nightclubs and bars which are scattered throughout the city. Prague is also a great place for techno/electronic music if you are the type that enjoys that.
The heart of Prague’s city was named one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. This is because of Prague’s unique architectural styles that make it a fantastic place to visit. It varies throughout the city, and is of many different European influences.
For those whom are historically inclined – make sure that you visit Wenceslaus square, which is a monument to the resistance against the 1968 invasion of the Soviet Union, and was a site of political change in 1989. Wenceslaus square also offers a panoramic view of the city at its central vantage point.
A feast for the eye, Prague’s architecture is in a stereotypically European style which virtually everyone loves. It is easy to spend a whole day staring at the different buildings that are works of art. Cobblestone streets and balconies along with quaint alleys go well together on a blue-sky day when the weather is nice and sunny outside.
Prague also has many great restaurants – and is known for its rich cuisine. Eating a simple meal in Prague often takes hours, as you will meet plenty of people whom you know and whose company you enjoy. It is easy to get lost in conversation with your friends for a couple of hours and end up having a lot of fun doing so. Prague is also the perfect place to meet new friends if you are sick of your friends from back home.
